Aisling: Traditional Irish Music

Meet Andi Wolfe: Andi is one busy woman. Her day gig is as a scientist (plant evolutionary biology). In addition to Aisling rehearsals and gigs, she's a well-known woodturner, and a full-time mom to all the critters in the Wolfe household (including Steve). Andi plays hammer dulcimer, fiddle, bodhran, and contributes vocals for Aisling. She also participates in the Chamber Music Connection. She enjoys the challenge of playing Vivaldi concertos on a hammer dulcimer - it makes the Irish reels and jigs seem pretty tame. You can find out all about her professional life at her academic website. Her woodturning website will give you an idea of the type of fine art she is producing in wood. For more about the rest of her life you can always check her weblog. Many of Andi's travel adventures are captured in the original tunes she composes for Aisling. Her favorites include: A Walk in the Park, Drakensberg Storm, and All Roads Lead to Underberg. Ask her about this trip sometime...
